The third day morning starts with an introduction to Progenetix and its biological context.
This includes: - an introduction to Progenetix - reusing the notebook from Day 2 for basic visualizations - an introduction to cancer classification systems - a discussion of how genomic data can support cancer classification
In the afternoon, the course introduces a small machine learning pipeline. This includes: - using a small subset of the data for a simple classification task - an introduction to: - features and labels - train/test split - model training - basic evaluation - running a simple classifier and interpreting the results - discussing limitations and possible next steps
